Onion Creek Oasis

Builder: Build 512
Designer: Build 512

This South Austin master bathroom remodel was a complete reimagining of our client’s space. We were able to wall off the water closet, gut and redo the master bathroom closet, open up the dark shower enclosure for a beautiful walk in shower with bench seat and install a gorgeous freestanding tub with a marvelous chandelier. The floor tile selections, lighting finishes and new custom cabinetry ensure this renovation is a safe investment to be enjoyed for their family and families to come.

This master bathroom was home to an ill-placed water closet, a dungeonous shower, and an era-typical monstrosity of a bath tub. The clients wanted to move the shower and tub closer together in an aesthetically contiguous way and relocate the water closet for a large and beautiful space.

The shower was previously located in the opposite side of the bathroom and almost felt like a closet because it was so dark. We were able to relocate it to accommodate a large vanity, newly imagined closet space and to ensure a show stopping design from the bathroom entry.

From dark and cavernous to light and bright. This shower transformation captures natural light, boasts beautiful natural stone wall and floor tile, and a quartz bench seat that flanks the free standing tub.

The relocation of the shower presented an opportunity to add more linen storage. These vanities and linen closet were custom fabricated with high quality birch boxes and poplar panels and doors, using little to no VOC’s in the construction and finishing process.

The clients closet was very large but lacked functionality and appeal. The complete redesign provided drawers, cubbies for show and bag storage, shelve storage, and pull down rods for high hanging clothes, all matching the vanity and linen closet in the connecting bathroom.

We were able to completely transform the look and feel of this space without any structural changes to the bench, shoower surround walls, or even the curb.

The transition from large, dark ceramic tiles to modern natural stone hex, glazed stacked subway tiles, and beautiful quartz bench and curb brightened this space with elegance and timeless charm.

The transition from a large a drop in tub to a freestanding tub and tub filler is always extravagant. This beautiful tub centers the asymmetrical space between a large and larger vanity, taking advantage of the natural light and recapturing some space for the homeowners.
